About Jesus for Breakfast

Start your day with Jesus.

I write these reflections to help you begin your morning not with the world—but with the Word.
Each post is an invitation to slow down, open Scripture, and meet the living God before anything else speaks into your day.

This isn’t about self-improvement. It’s about spiritual endurance. About learning to run with Christ when life gets hard, distractions multiply, and the path feels uphill.

What You’ll Find Here

Every post follows a simple rhythm:

  • Scripture — the foundation

  • Story — real moments from life, running, or fatherhood

  • Insight — truth drawn from the passage

  • Challenge — a step of faith to live it out

The goal is not to make you busier, but to make you stronger in spirit—anchored in truth, disciplined in love, and focused on what lasts forever.

Why “Jesus for Breakfast”?

Because who or what you meet first shapes everything that follows.
If you start the day with Christ—your thoughts, endurance, and perspective shift.
If you start with the world—you drift.

This publication exists to help you begin with Him, every day.

A Word About the Writer

I’m James—a never-finished disciple learning to run with Christ.
A husband, father, ultra runner, and follower of Jesus who believes every day is training for eternity.
I write because I’ve seen what happens when men and women meet God before sunrise—their lives change.

If that’s your desire, you’re in the right place.
