You Are A Child of God!
Day 5—How Do You Seek God With All Your Heart?
Day 5 of How Do You Seek God with All Your Heart? What voices make you forget that being God’s child is a gift, not a goal?
In John’s day, being a “child of God” meant covenant belonging and royal adoption. It was never earned—it was given. Jesus restored what sin had broken: relationship, identity, and authority.
You may feel unseen or unworthy, but God gave you the right—the divine authority—to be His child. That right wasn’t bought by your effort but by His blood.
So lift your head. You belong. You carry His name, His Spirit, and His inheritance.
Never Finished Challenge: Today, slow down and receive what you already have. Whisper: “I am a child of God.” Write it. Say it aloud. Pray it until it sinks past the noise. You’re not trying to become worthy—He already gave you the right. Live from that gift, not for it.
When we listen to the voices of the world or ourselves, we inevitably become defeated in our desire to reach out to God because we feel dirty, unworthy, tired, or just unmotivated (Romans 8:15–17). Claim who you are in Him with confidence. You are a child of the King of kings (Revelation 19:16), heir to the throne (Galatians 4:7), and victorious because of what Jesus did for you on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Reminder: I won’t be posting tomorrow. My family and I will be doing nothing—Sabbath. Resting. Remembering. Letting God refill what the week has poured out. But you better believe I’ll be spending time with Jesus for breakfast.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

That’s such a beautiful and encouraging message brother It reminds us that being a child of God is not something we earn but something we receive through faith in Jesus Christ John 1:12 says But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God even to them that believe on His name This means we don’t have to strive for God’s love or prove our worth because Christ already made us worthy through His sacrifice Romans 8:15-17 tells us that we have received the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father and if children then heirs heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ What an incredible truth We belong to the King of kings and carry His Spirit within us When we rest in that identity we find peace strength and purpose Galatians 4:7 reminds us Wherefore thou art no more a servant but a son and if a son then an heir of God through Christ So yes taking time to rest worship and simply be still before Him like Psalm 46:10 says Be still and know that I am God is not laziness it’s holy alignment It’s how we refill and remember who we are in Him You are His child loved chosen and never forgotten
