The Word That Exposes and Brings Peace
Day 3—The Eternal Power of God’s Word

Hebrews 4:12 | Jeremiah 23:29 | John 15:5 | John 1:1
I’ve witnessed many miracles in my life.
But one stands apart—the kind that freezes time and makes your heart stop.
My middle daughter was three years old. It was a cold morning; my girls and I had built a fire to stay warm. What started as joy nearly turned to tragedy. My two-year-old daughter tripped on a root and fell face-first into the flames. In an instant, I reached down like Spiderman, grabbed her by the back of her shirt, and pulled her out.
I braced for the smell of burnt hair or skin—but there was nothing. Not a mark. Not even the faintest smell of smoke. My four-year-old broke the silence:
“Dadda… Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego!”
I smiled through tears and whispered a humble thank you to God.
Fire destroys. It consumes without mercy. Yet in that moment, God’s protection became a living parable. Jeremiah 23:29 says, “Is not My Word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
The same Word that can destroy also purifies. It burns away what binds and reshapes what’s hardened. The eternal Word of God either does nothing—if resisted—or does everything—if received. It draws you in, kills the flesh within, and allows transformation to begin.
Jehovah Shalom Truth: Peace grows where truth reigns.
Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
And John wrote, “In the beginning was the Word ( Logos )… and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
If I want to live a life that matters—with Him and for Him—I must let His Word pierce through every layer of self-protection. I must meditate on it, experience it, and obey it.
Take a moment to reflect on your life. Nothing the world offers truly satisfies—and thank God it doesn’t. Otherwise, we might never seek what’s eternal. The saints of old didn’t treat Scripture as optional. They meditated on it, memorized it, and built their lives upon it because it was their lifeline to God.
A child brings her parents’ words to life only when she trusts them. Trust takes time. How do you build trust with Someone who lives outside of time?
You invite Him into yours.
When you read and chew on His Word, ask questions, practice obedience, and walk with others who do the same, trust grows. The Word begins to live in you—and peace begins to reign through you.
Never Finished Challenge
You can’t force or manufacture growth; only God makes it happen.
(1 Corinthians 3:6–7)
Stop chasing results. Start seeking Him.
Spend time with God each day—same spot, same time, every day—while listening to worship. Ask Him to help you make this rhythm a delight, not a duty. These daily anchors eliminate excuses and open space for a relationship.
Don’t take my word for it—ask God. He will meet you there, not for system’s sake but for love’s sake.
What Does Today Say About God?
Abounding.
He is abounding in love, fruitful beyond compare.
What a blessing to have His Word in our hands and His Spirit in our hearts.
Our family supports a Bible-translation movement called IllumiNations, working to put Scripture into every language by 2033. Praise God for that, because the decade-plus I’ve spent reading His Word has changed everything in me.
The world gives pressure—His Word gives peace.
The world tempts with pleasure—His Word offers contentment.
The world lies and steals—His Word gives truth and life.
Pick up the Word with Him, and never look back.
What a Father.
What a Friend.
What a King.
Thank You, Jesus.
Share the mana
If this encouraged you, share it with someone who needs to be reminded that God still leads from the front. My prayer is that these words would awaken and strengthen your relationship with Him.
See you tomorrow, Saturday, for Day 4, LIVE, in our series “The Eternal Power of God’s Word.”

Brother, this was powerful to read. Testimonies like this remind us that the Word of God is not just ink on a page it is living, burning, protecting, exposing, healing, and transforming. Truly, the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword Hebrews 4:12 and when it enters a life, nothing stays the same.Your brother’s story about his daughter brought to mind the God who stood with the three Hebrew boys the fire had no power Daniel 3:27 The same God still shields, still speaks, still saves, still works wonders. And His Word, like fire, burns away everything that is not from Him so that His peace can reign in us Jeremiah 23:29Jesus Himself told us, Without me ye can do nothing John 15:5 That’s why every attempt to live without His Word leaves us empty, but every moment spent feeding on His Word fills us with life. Because the Word is not a thing it is a Person In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God John 1:1 When we meditate on Scripture, trust grows, faith deepens, and peace takes root. The psalmist knew this when he wrote Great peace have they which love thy law Psalm 119:165 Brother, may we be people who don’t just read the Word but let the Word read us, shape us, and lead us day by day, morning by morning, like manna from heaven And please keep our Indian ministry in your prayers. The work is great, but the Lord is faithful We are seeking His strength, His provision, and His guidance every single day.May the Lord bless you, keep you, and continue to speak to you through His living Word.
