Teacher or Lord?
Day 3—How Do Seek God With All Your Heart
Yesterday, we discovered how only God can revive our desire—simply by asking Him.
If you missed that post, pause here and go back.
This post builds on that truth—because making Him LORD, not just a teacher, will transform your life.
“Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it to the end.”
— Psalm 119:33
The psalmist doesn’t ask a teacher for wisdom; he calls on the LORD for direction.
He doesn’t seek new ideas; he seeks divine instruction that demands obedience.
When Jesus told His disciples that one of them would betray Him, they each asked,
“Lord, is it I?” — except Judas.
Judas said, “Rabbi, is it I?” (Matthew 26:22–25).
To Judas, Jesus was a teacher—someone to learn from.
To the others, He was Lord—someone to obey.
That difference still defines every disciple.
A teacher informs your mind.
A LORD transforms your life.
The psalmist could say, “Teach me, O LORD,” because he had already surrendered his will. He was ready to follow through—to the very end.
Is God your teacher—someone you learn from when it’s convenient—or is He truly your LORD, the One you follow and obey without condition?
Let this be the moment you shift from learning to following.
